The world was once so beautiful
Like crystal, glass and snow
Delicate, and sparkling bright
A treasure I didn't know
I used to think it nothing special
I used to let it pass
But now my time is running out
My years are fading fast
I want to escape the sadness
The black ink in my core
It's sticky, cold and draining
And in emotion, I am sore
But the problem is I smile
I still see the world I'm in
And although I can not feel it
I know it's beautiful, though dim.
I only want some freedom
To be lost in what I love
But these walls that overpower me
They are crushing down from above
I will not hold forever
But there still remains a spark
If i can hold just one more day
I might just escape the dark
The world was once so beautiful
And, though dieing, it's still Divine
And soon I will be running free
Until then, I'll just say
"I'm fine..."
